CO Birders,
For the record, a citizen in Monument, CO, had been trying to figure-out this
stealthy visitor to their backyard for a few days starting late last week
(their words re stealthy behavior). They are just east of Monument Creek in
Monument (north of water treatment plant). They thought

The Aiken Audubon group returning from a quiet trip to Brett Gray Ranch ,
Lincoln County stopped by the Yellow-crowned Night Heron spot along Birdsall
Road and had good looks for 20 to 30 minutes around 3:30 pm , many photographs
taken . Hopefully of the 17 participants more
I saw the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron this morning about 9 AM, reported by Kaye
Lafreniere a few days ago. Here is a photo I managed to get:

I agree with Joe Roller that this is a "second fall" bird by the pictures in
Sibley.

Night Heron this afternoon at Hansen Nature Center (south of Fountain
