Hi all,
My husband saw a flock of yellowheaded blackbirds in our yard on Monday 4/20.
I saw a shrike on my way home from Granada on County Road 27. Sorry, I didn't
stop to see which it was! We have also had an abundance of great tailed
grackles in our yard. I have some light colored dove as well. I haven't had
my binocs. around when I see it. At first I thought it was a rock dove but
today I saw it with our pair of Eurasian Collared doves so I am unsure.
Haven't seen any warblers yet. Hopefully I will get to check out the lesser
prairie chickens in the next couple of days to see if they are on the lek in
the evening so we can view them on our CFO trip. Anyone who can't come that
weekend but want to view birds on the ranches at another time, just let me
know. I can direct you to the ranchers.

Farther south at Carrizo I am teaching Laneha Everett how to id. the birds.
She has seen a downy, a hairy and a flicker, presuming it is a red shafted at
this point.
