I was fishing on the Gunnison River today above Pleasure Park, and saw a black
phoebe. It was located about 300 yards up the main Gunnison from the
confluence of the North Fork. If you cross the North Fork and go up the east
bank of the Gunnison to the first large Russian Olive on the bank, the bird was
foraging from there upstream a couple hundred yards, on both sides of the
river. It was there around 10 am this morning and again around 4 pm when I
came back downriver. First one I have ever seen in Delta County.

Also saw a couple Says phoebes today, a golden eagle in the canyon there, and
many canyon wrens.
