feeders at our house, on the ridge above the swimming beach on the west side of
Horsetooth Reservoir, near the south end.

don't keep records of dates but this seems early for them.

A male Calliope Hummingbird visited one of our feeders this morning.
And for a stark contrast in size, yesterday afternoon a Wild Turkey hen
spent a few hours on our deck, adjacent to the hummingbird feeder.

had a late one this morning. usually i only see them in late july and early
august. also around the house today: semi-late black-headed grosbeak and
western kingbird, among the normal birds. mtn bluebirds seemed to have left.

Had my first (FOY) male Calliope Hummingbird come to my feeders
yesterday in Larimer CO. Taking the feeders out this am, had a female
waiting. They with the Rufous, and the odd Black-chinned (3 days),
are on the move. The bears finally found the feeders, so the lot
