Both fox sparrows have shown at the feeder this morning at the Paonia Ranger
Station. This makes 10 days for the red and 5 for the slate-colored. I will
continue to keep the feeder stocked through Monday, but I leave for a week on
Monday morning, and cannot be sure the feeder will be filled during the week.
I will let folks know if one (or both) of them is still here when I get back
after Christmas.

Other feeder birds here in the last few days have been numerous juncos, house
sparrow, song sparrow, mtn chickadee, spotted towhees, house finch, pine
siskin, EC dove, and a sharpie. Not the most exciting feeder around, except
for the foxes.
