Subversion (and CVS) create .svn/.cvs folders inside every folder in your
hierarchy. I'd recommend a different version control system that creates one
dot folder at the top of your hierarchy like Git or Mercurial.

You're not having a problem reading the docs. You're having a problem with
your basic understanding of Objective-C. There's nothing to "convert" and
what you're reading is "actual code". I'd recommend taking a step back and
doing some reading before you go any further.

I just got an email from Amazon this morning indicating that they're still
trying to get the book (I pre-ordered in March). I did some searching, and a
number of other online retailers are listing a May 16 release date. I
wouldn't worry about it...copies will be mailed out soon, I'm sure.
