I just saw an promo for the new iPad app that ABC News has - which has 
an animation of a spinning ball for selecting stories.  Is this a new 
"standard" CoreAnimation filter (or something, I've never written anything for 
CA), where you can say give the CAFramework a matrix of images, and it will 
create/display the OpenGL image model for you - or is this something unique to 
the ABCNews app?  I'm thinking the former because somehow I don't think a news 
program would the time to create an interface visual like that if it took a 
great deal of time to make (of course, it should just be tiling the images on a 
sphere, let OpenGL rotate it, then some basic math to figure out what the user 
clicked on..)
