Hello!! I have the same error, but when I check the log files catalina.out, catalina_log.2002-05-21, localhost_access_log.2002-05-21, localhost_examples_log.2002-05-21 and localhost_log.2002-05-21 (I don't have any log file inside the cocoon directory) there isn't any error. I have X11, jdk1.
