Hello, there is a well known "bug" in the CachingCIncludeTransformer, which prevents the caching algorithm from determining the correct cache validity in some (almost every non trivial) cases. This makes the transformer useless in the general practise.
Months ago there was a diskussion about this in the cocoon-dev mailing list. (see: http://www.mail-archive.com/cocoon-dev@xml.apache.org/msg01501.html ) But I think the status quo is described at best in the bug database. (see: http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4641 ) Unfortunately I don't see any other possibilty to cache correctly a document which includes other documents that are possibly outdated: The map:aggregate feature is to inflexible and the XIncludeTransformer provides no caching at all. My question now is: Does anyone know a workaround (i.e. using a map:action to validate the cache) or if it is planned to fix the cinclude transformer in the near future. Thanks for any suggestion on this matter, Ulf Sauerland --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please check that your question has not already been answered in the FAQ before posting. <http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/faqs.html> To unsubscribe, e-mail: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
