I see a whole lot of not invented here syndrome from IA, honestly. They seem to want to re-invent everything themselves, rather than try to use existing conventions. Even if they come up with something slightly better than SRU, is it worth the pain to developers who would like to implement

I want to be able to pull all the records that have oclc numbers, issns, isbns, etc. I want it to be lightweight, fast, searchable. Would anyone else want/use such a thing?... I like the idea, but in the long term, I just don't know how useful this will be. By and large, these
