dennis lucero created NETBEANS-2990: ---------------------------------------
Summary: Support environment variables in file path dialogs Key: NETBEANS-2990 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-2990 Project: NetBeans Issue Type: Improvement Affects Versions: 11.0 Environment: Windows 10 Reporter: dennis lucero In standard Windows file path choosers it is possible to use environment variables. For example, entering %userprofile% as the file name would change the directory to the user’s profile path. In NetBeans this is not supported. When entering a variable like %userprofile%, this is taken as the literal file name. When saving a file, the file is saved with the wrong file name, the dialog is closed and it takes some effort to delete the wrongly named file and save it at the intended location. Opening a project should also support variables. The NetBeans file chooser is used even if the Look & Feel is set to “Windows” and “Maximize use of native look and feel” is enabled. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.14#76016) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-h...@netbeans.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
