Sorry, but I didn't pay much attention to the ticket which you want to be
backported.
The changes in WICKET-5713 proved to be problematic so we decided to rework it
to use ServiceLoader instead with WICKET-5997.
I'm going to backport the ServiceLoader functionality instead.
