I have tried several times, from several different mirrors to download the src zip or
tar.gz for the latest release of commons-logging and they all appear to be invalid.
Anyone else getting this problem?

I just downloaded (commons logging 1.0.2 src, tar.gz form) it,
uncompressed it, no problems.
