As far as I understand you have been working on a HttpURLConnection implementation based on Jakarta Commons HttpClient. http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?thread=242780&forum=45&message=1000135 Our existing implementation of URLConnection compatibility layer, frankly put, leaves much more to be desired and needs to be radically improved. At the moment none of the HttpClient regular developers does not seem to have bandwidth for that work. I wonder if you might be interested to contribute your code to the HttpClient project?
