Team, As you may know, ApacheCon and COMDEX are planning to hold our Expo Exchange as established last year. This allows all ApacheCon attendees to visit the COMDEX expo free of charge.
This year, there's also a nice addition: ApacheCon delegates are also going to be able to attend keynotes, power panels and innovation center at the Open Source & Linux track [1]. COMDEX delegates will also be able to attend ApacheCon BOFs and Vendor Showcase sessions. To that end, we need your help! We're looking for volunteers to man the Apache table from 10am - 4pm in the COMDEX Community Area 16-20 November. We'll have 6-8 chairs around a round table, where folks will be able to represent ASF/ApacheCon in an informal setting. Of course, we don't expect anyone to be chained to a table for a 6-hour stretch; you'll be there for 1-2 hours at a time, sometimes along with other volunteers. So what will you be doing there? We envision short discussions on what is ASF, how it works, its role in the Open Source community, mini-cross-group BOFs, introductions to projects, promoting ApacheCon events, etc. Some of you have expressed interest in speaking on the ASF and open source development at ApacheCon, but we were unfortunately unable to accept all proposals. This is your chance to both share your knowledge and have an official role at ApacheCon.
