I'm impressed, it runs very nice an smooth! I generally don't play
(and if I do it would not be games like doom/duke nukem :) but I might
try to play a bit more of this, just because it works that nice :)
I had some problems with the controls, at one stage I only was a
IIUC it doesn't use X11. But can it run in one virtual console while
X11 runs in another?

This will take me a few days to get around to it. For the time being you
could go usb keyboard? Then save a game (doesn't it remember?)

I've installed 4.4.2 not in the microsd but in the internal flash, with
the kernel that comes with qtextended tar.gz and I hear no sound when
ringing, it just vibrates no matters the configuration.

What would be the cleanest way to shut down debian on the FR?
I have XFCE panel running. Clicking the 'lock' only allows me to log
out, leaving me at a login prompt. Keeping down the power button will
cast an init 5 so it reboots. I'd need an init 6 though...

you must install moko-gtk-theme, moko-gtk-engine, ... to get better
support for GTK in FSO.
It appears that those package are not in fso-testing nor fso-unstable.

I think you need the data file from an original game.
See for example:
Obtain doom2.wad and/or doom1.wad, copy to this directory.
See idsoftware.com for ordering info here.
If you don't own any of the Doom games, get the shareware doom1.wad
from Doomworld's shareware downlo
Evince presentation mode as I said, not evince full screen.
In the presentation mode you see only the slide, no scroll bars or
anything -> bigger text, looks a lot better but doesn't work. (yes,
full screen mode is a 'cheap' replacement here :)
And epdf full screen, you can't do anything.

I've tried both evince and epdf to view pdf:s. They both do the basic
stuff ok ( I think evince is a bit better) - but both fail when you
start the full screen mode (epdf) or presentation mode (evince).
Evince presentation: you can click the screen to get to the next page.
