I remembered that I had had a close look on the website already - and I just
did so again.
I see two problems here: first of all it is written in C (PISI uses Python);
but nevertheless I think, I could re-use at least some of their ideas ...
Second: the Sync-part of Pimlico does not progress
I added new commandline parameters for font color and background color
(and for font). Defaults are (still) white text, black background,
with liberationmono-font.
Newest version 1.1.1-r0.3
Newest code is on git. Newest binary is on opkg.org. Newest
instructions are in wiki.
Tested with Om2008.12

I like the propossed mods, and i think that most of the changes are possible.
But how to get this mods done? I proposse a simple approach.
Changing the LCD is difficult, because you need to change the case in
order to fit LCD into the phone.

It IS possible, just use

I have seen a strange behavior in opkg. The context is this:
A certain repository (listed in the FR's conf files) has these versions of
'package':
package.0.1.ipk
package.0.3.ipk
Somewhere else in the internet (not a repository) this file is available:
E libraries seems to be a fastest and lightnest on Neo hardware. When
using proper theme of course. And they provide very nice way for
layouting. I was sceptic about e too, but when I see that libs in
action (from both user and developer side), I'm sure that was good
decision. There is even Illume
I'm not sure where it gets the zone from, but if someone knows a way to sync
from GSM without screwing up the TZ, I'd love to hear it.
