yay, someone is working on free gsm baseband software! It is called OsmocomBB and is found here: http://bb.osmocom.org/trac/ They're not targeting the freerunner but some Calypso that is different from ours. They claim different calypsos should be "easy enough" to port to. My geek bone is tingling.
