Yes icons are back!!
For the glory details: I've made a new status review about the 'base' image
on my blog (that's on the planet)

Sorry, maybe I was a little to the point on that blog post. But I and several
others had a big discussion about Openmoko and their way of communicating
things. Mostly (and that's only my experience) when something new is
announced, the developers goes crazy and the first week is the most active

I've changed the package of Sander, So it rotates on start and it starts with
the right screen resolution and more. For more information, look at
http://onlinedev.blogspot.com/2008/10/getting-pingus-on-your-neo-freerunner.html
ps. The package may be used for inclusion on opkg. But I didn't do it,
I agree, we don't have to spend developer time on things that are going away.
(So please don't fix qtopia)
And here are the bugs that should be solved (My opinion):

get it into the repo, go ahead. But I will not
try, because somebody on the on the mailing list has already criticized my
package. (Because it's not compiled with bitbake by me and I don't know how
Rafael has compiled it)

I wouldn't change to something with 2008 in it. Th
I think (by looking at the bugs that are fixed and aren't fixed) that the
om2008.9 is the same as om2008.8 updated between 16 september and 18
september. Because on 18 september there were updates for the om2008.8 that
aren't included by default in 2008.9. But the updates are also available for

Please define almost usable. I use the om2008.8 and I'm happy with it. It has
some limitations, but I can live with it. But ofcourse if the unstable
2008.9 is more stable than om2008.8, I would love to 2008.9.
So therefor some questions about the usability:

Nice,
When I get my FreeRunner (tomorrow), I will try your steps. Maybe you can
put the steps on the wiki?
btw. Someone has already post a bug report for openmoko builds
(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450929). Hope someone of the
Fennec team responds.

I think it should be great if we could get Fennec (the firefox mobile
browser) on the Openmoko phones. First we get an very actively developed
browser on the Openmoko and we can help testing the direction of the firefox
mobile in real. (So the fennec developers get input on their design)
I think
Ok, found it.
I have already adapted the wiki: http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Zhone

Thank you, it works magnificent.
What did I do on Ubuntu Hardy:
- open 'Software sources'
- add 'deb http://pkg-fso.alioth.debian.org/debian/ unstable main'
- add 'deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ experimental main'
- close 'Software sources'

Is the MokoMakeFile still under development?
Is there any chance for flashing Om2008.8 on the qemu emulator?
