I heard somewhere that there are some SHR-stable images on the way. Have

Not my primary phone, but I use it form time to time to surf the
web/play games with Hackable:1 or QtMoko (only distros that connect to
web). Not huge fan of SHR, because the interface does not lend itself
well to a phone (can't even create+type+send an SMS in less than a
minute, much less
Yeah, NeronGPS is in the QtMoko feeds and all you need to install it is
a recent version of QtMoko and an internet connection. It's native to
the Qt framework that QtMoko uses and doesn't need an X server. It has a
slightly different interface from Navit and tango, but it's pretty easy
to get

the tarball. Most of the algorithm is in t9_list.cpp and numpad.cpp.
If you have H:1 I encourage you to try it out and give me feedback.

He's using rev5rc1 of Hackable:1. It's based on 2007.2, but much more
advanced. It's not an FSO-based distro, but the devs say that they'll

I have personally had many troubles with SHR in the past. For one, I
don't think the Contacts application has ever worked for my SIM card. It
immediately crashes. It might be because it hasn't finished loading all
of the contacts from SIM, but crashing is a poor way of handling this
issue.

Also, for every single settings menu, a separate icon gets created! Thus,
the whole screen fills-up with 'useless' icons!
