I think it is fair to say that wherever taxes and paperwork are
concerned, there will always be hassles.

I would definitely urge organizations that are hoping to participate
in GSoC this year to consider incorporating now.  The process can take
quite awhile and it's a worthwhile enterprise regardless so that you
can more easily take donations, monetary and otherwise, from the
community.

For those organizations who cannot incorporate, consider contacting
the Software Freedom Law Center or Software in the Public Interest.
Both groups handle financials for open source organizations who have
not incorporated.

Does anyone else have sage advice to add here?
