Hi, Tom. Thank you for you instruction although I haven't try it. And I just made a compile on qtextended snapshot 20090223, no patches applied. And I made a rootfs image and a tarball with the daily build nox rootfs and 2.6.24 kernel (20090223) from downloads.openmoko.org. You can get it here:
