Thanks for getting it to the wiki, I've been trying to finish it for
a couple of hours this morning, but there is this work thing that
keeps me occupied all the time. =)
I'll try to flesh out my idea some more and write a couple of
paragraphs on it on the wiki.

tron? like this?(http://codeninja.de/tron/) I'm down. we've got agps, and
the data link should be fast enough to relay position data. it's a whole
lot more manageable on the bike... could make a case for that environment

I like the ideas that you listed. I think a multi-touchscreen interface can
get us more unique games, though right now, as it stands, games that are
shorter are better, since I think most people play them on the go, when
they're waiting in line, on the subway, for just a couple minutes. So,

Hi,
I joined the list today and have read through most of the discussions.
As others here I am very excited about this new device and looking
forward to get my hands on one.
I like my games few and simple, so most of the time I play GJeweled and
FrozenBubble.I see that they were not mentioned so
I've just subscribed to the list but I've read some discussion about
the gaming opportunities on a touchscreen-only device in the archive.
I'm mainly interested in gaming on OpenMoko (well, I need a new phone,
too ;) ) so this is my topic! :D In fact I suggest we start an
OpenMoko gaming community
I wouldn't write off nGage just yet. Nokia can still make it a
successful platform.
If pretty much every new phone that Nokia introduces from now on is an
nGage phone, then it won't take long for the number of nGage's to
approach the number of Gameboy's. Sure, most of them may never touch a

yes true, ngage has 3d games, but ngage is a total failure. i'm not thinking
opemoko as a gaming device as ngage is. openmoko don't need 3d acceleration, if
it is possible, it will be great. Commonly most mobile games are in 2d, because
of limitations and mostly because of the screen sizes. mobi

I don't think it is a problem. I got an Nokia N-Gage: it runs many 3D
games, but has no 3d acceleratio, just laying on the CPU 100Mhz RISC
architecture. So it can be done with OpenMoko.

Hi, this is my first time posting, I'm just been lurking so far. Looks like

Engin's recent post on controls had me thinking: Why do we have buttons in
games? But I think we had buttons to control games because early game
makers didn't have
