I'm afraid that was the first thought that came to mind. I'm probably

If an applicant knows the community sees in realtime, he/she is less
likely to put in phony stuff that just wastes the hostmasters' time and
increases the time taken to process

sufficient - perhaps with a projected end date?

AFRINIC should not give out the names of the organisations receiving the
address space or the actual ranges themselves though.
