The American Community Gardening Association listserve is only one of ACGA's
services
, and after several years may need to replace rotted
bed end boards, but the 12 footers are still in good shape.
I realize Michael, that if you and I do not have the same model in our
heads as to what these beds look like, them nothing I have said makes
any sense.
Good luck,

Mary.
There are examples of city ordinances in the appendix to the Milwaukee
study.

I am looking for examples of best practice local zoning codes and/or

adult volunteer groups love doing
this--loading wheelbarrows with chips using a manure fork, wheeling and
dumping, spreading, packing and stomping, etc. The newspaper wetting
can also be fun on a hot day.

Hi Cordalie,
Some farmers' markets are not likely to be welcoming to a community
garden's proposal to sell produce. I recall that this was a problem in
Boston and likely, elsewhere.
As Adam
I have been asked by some community leaders about community gardening
programs that work with the homeless. I would appreciate hearing about
such programs, how they are organized, success failures, etc. So, if
you can share some leads or information, please contact me.
Thank you,
Don

One of the community gardeners gifted me with some seeds of a favorite
Indian green yesterday. She doesn't know the word for the green in English,
but it produces a thick green leaf which is eaten like
before storing in a sealed container. It is
best to add a little DE (diatomaceous earth), about 1 tsp. per gallon of
grain to take care of weevils and other insects that invariably lay
their eggs on the seed heads and hatch out during storage.
Good luck.
