More arts in the gardens, yes!! Reading Michael Ableman's "From the Good Earth" last night, he reminded me that once upon a time in our society, and still today in several societies, culture and agri-culture did not have hard, fast lines between them, and often were one and the same.
Peruvians telling stories while threshing quinoa; Pueblo songs about corn and rain; Africans singing while threshing and storing millet; the micro-regional culture of some 400 cheeses in France... Remember that you, as a gardener, are the living link and legacy of over 10,000 years of agriculture. Keep on growing!
