External Hard Drive on Classic 2

I have had much difficulty in getting my Classic 2 to recognize an external hard drive that has a 2 gig hard drive. Today I got it to work by partitioning it and now if is mounted, but only as a 100 MB drive. Any ideas how to get it working as configured? Bailey -- Compact Macs is sponsored b

I am using OS 7.1 in a Classic with 10MB RAM and an 80MB hard drive. I have loaded ClarisWorks 3.0 and it works quite well. Write Now 4.0 is a bit faster and does not use as much of the hard drive as does ClarisWorks. But I am more familiar with CW so I use it. It has been recommended to use OS

This computer uses two 1 meg, 30 pin SIMM, RAM sticks, and coupled with the 2 megs on the MB, we have its 4 meg configuration. To reach the maximum of 10 megs, there are required two sticks of 4 megs each, which, again, coupled with the 2 on the MB would give you the maximum. Am I right on this
