I do not have any idea what settings and plugins I was using when I filed
this bug via apport, and since that time I have switched from compiz to
xmonad. I am glad to hear that compiz may have gained some stability, and
very much look forward to my finding it solid enough again for regular use.

Same here with Ubuntu 9.04, fresh install. Anything that tries to use xv
out with compiz dies. mplayer, vlc, totem, etc. Disabling compiz fixes
all problems. Tried nvidia-glx-96 from jaunty and karmic, no difference.

I agree that it's probably a driver issue, but I don't know why. It
works perfectly until that transition, so something obviously happens at
that point that causes the texture to be broken in some way.

install .iso.
At first everything worked OK (screenwise, I've had some trouble with grub and

This bug appears to only appear when xpra is installed.
Can anyone confirm that? Perhaps it needs to be moved?
