I don't like any of the placement options in the place plugin. In ccsm,
one is not allowed to turn off the place plugin--it always comes back
on. In karmic, I would edit the /usr/bin/compiz file and remove the
place plugin from the set that was ma
Well, that's a major problem. The final release is here about a week.
There are any fix programmed?

Shouldn't this only depend on nspluginwrapper - isn't there a way to set
that GDK environment variable within the wrapper itself? Would be much
more maintainable than having to muck around with each individual browser.

Hi
Thanks for helping to make Ubuntu better. I'm moving this bug report to
what I believe is the appropriate package. Ubuntu One is a set of Online
Services for the Ubuntu Desktop, and doesn't interact with the desktop
effects you are describing in any way.

I'm also having low Compiz performance, specially in menus, with the
following configuration:
- Graphic processor: ATI Radeon HD 5750
- Graphic driver: fglrx
- Graphic processor family processing power: 4,7 TFLOPS
- Screen resolution: 1920x1080
- Screen refresh frequency: 60 Hz
- Maximum glxgears
The bug still occurs when I boot, and can be fixed in the described way –
however, I can't fix it permanently, as it seems.
Also of interest is that another user on this machine, who also runs compiz,
doesn't experience this problems.
