As the patch was included upstream a while ago, and ubuntu maverick is
already shipping the updated (fixed) version, i guess this closes the
bug?

Also some glitches show up as well, like shadowed areas in the title
bar, or colorless close/minimize/restore buttons. Everything settle to
normal when the title bar is activated by means of a click on it, by
hovering over the buttons with the cursor, or by moving/resizing the
window.

Numerous applications have focus issues after emerging from a screensaver or
I'm still experiencing this bug, after upgrading to Maverick. I've
