Rather than setting SysRq to Ctrl-Alt-PrintScreen, as it's done with other
keybindings such as Alt-Fx - Ctrl-Alt-Fx, or completely disabling it, I'd just
change the keybindings:
* PrintScreen: Save Screenshot dialog
* Shift+PrintScreen: Save Screenshot dialog for current window
Additionally,
It seems that if I do a right click on desktop showing the Nautilus menu
as the very thing after login, the menus appear fine, but if I forget to
do this, many times they remain hidden...
Many times also happen that the Unity interface covers the unlock dialog
of gnome-screensaver. It is possible

Yep. For now I've got compiz 0.8.6 and FF 3.6.13 on my ubuntu 10.10, and
this bug is still reproduces after screensaver. This is quite annoying
to live with such bug for more than a year.

Suddenly noticed the gnome-panel had disappeared. Only thing that would
work was Ctrl-Alt-F1 so looked at kern.log with nano. The lines at the

Why not grabbing Alt+PrtScn when it is pressed alone, but allowing it to
pass through to the kernel as a SysRq event when it is pressed together
with another key and ONLY IF SysRq is actually on the PrtScn key?
