Just tried Natty in a VirtualBox vm. The issue happens for me too. The
switch to DMZ (Black) is not honored.
At least there is an easy workaround. Changing the cursor with

Reporting another case of this bug, this time under Unity. Just
installed Ubuntu 11.04 yesturday and everything works fine, but the
overall sensation is very sluggish. Moving windows around is very
sluggish (as is the general feel), but some animations run fine, for
example the ctrl+alt+left/right

I cannot think of any reason for having a 0.2 second delay before showing the
Alt+Tab window.
It is just a bad default. The default value for popup_delay should be 0.
It's just a trivial change, and almost all users use Alt+Tab nowadays, and a
0.2 second delay is quite noticeable in this case.

I had similar problem. It might be related to bug #728745 as I have the same
graphic card - Nvidia Go 7300.
I tried complete reinstall of system. It is not better: compiz is not starting
at all (both Unity and Gnome Classic). It freezes system if I start is manually.

I am having the same issue. Mine is exactly like P-sobo's in comment
number 6. I upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04. I am using Nvidia Accelerated
