Indeed that was the case, I found that too when I was working on
rewriting the decorator anyways.
Thanks for the patch, the fix will be applied in oneiric.

also works on "normal").

This is not Unity specific. I've seen this bug in older releases of
Ubuntu with Compiz enabled. It would often happen (and still does
happen) in Firefox when many windows and tabs are open.
I notice that clicking on an empty part of the Unity Panel makes the
window jump into place. Alt+Click -ing

Don't know why, but now this problem of double clicking on the maximised window
and not been able to move the window around any more happens only with
thunderbird, the other applications seem not affected any more.
I launched an update and I also tried to install different video drivers, but
had
gtkw-window-decorator is crashing. Can you check in /var/crash and
report a new bug by double clicking on the .crash file with the name
-gtk-window-decorator' in it so that the bug report have useful crash
logs.

After I resume from suspend in my oneiric system, I get various odd
behaviors in compiz.
In all cases, I get the following symptoms:
* The mouse still works but the cursor does not display.
* They keyboard (mostly) doesn't work. I can still alt-tab, but I can't seem
to type
I fixed this one in lp:~lievenvanderheide/compiz/PixmapLeakFix. The
problem seemed to be that the author assumed GdkPixmap's was reference
counted like a GtkObject (ie, initially a floating reference, which must
be ref'ed to become a real reference). GdkPixmap doesn't derive from
GtkObject though,
