It seems a compiz problem that only the desktop width is updated in
compiz, but the desktop height is not updated after rotate.
Following steps can simplify the problem.
- boot the system in text mode
- run X in remote terminal
- disable unity plugin in ccsm
- start compiz in remote terminal

Ha wow that's nuts. Could you please run an apt-get upgrade (to make
sure you're fully up to date on compiz packages) and run unity --reset

look like an issue, though on the very same machine if Unity plugin is

I've also to tell (sorry for the bad description, i'm going to correct it) that
if I continue to move the window, the system will be locked (meaning that I can
only move the pointer but nothing is clickable, and the keyboard sysrq works
but tty not) and sometime keyboard and pointer are locked
Also every operation seems delayed, but in top I cannot see strange use
of resource.

from apport.

What was the installation issue? I personally observed this on 10
different systems, all installed the same way with the default install
options for Ubuntu. If this is due to something in the way we were
installing, it would be good to know how to prevent that in the future.

This one is now fixed. It was a problem with the new decorator rewrite,
