CPU intensive for compiz than the default rendering method, because it
(presently) has to redraw every part of the screen on every frame (60

Screen rendering dies. I noticed that it's usually being triggered when I switch
between workspaces (using the kbd shortcuts Ctrl-Alt-Arrows if it matters)

I'm only having issues with firefox and thunderbird, could it be xul

don't show (awesome bar and search bar suggestions) or close when

Should there be a new bug filed regarding #4 issue ctrl+alt+shift+arrow
doesn't move selected window to another workspace? Workaround here: move
window by right click on menu (not possible in full screen mode).

And would you believe it, glxspheres now is back at 59.x fps.
I was playing around with ccsm and looked at preferences/profiles, which
hung unity completely and disabled the unity plugin. There is something
strange going on there: according to gconf-editor, I had a profile
called 'fooo', and ccsm

Found out that disabling "Sync to VBlank" in OpenGL plugin settings
really does wonders with my setup. Animations are smooth and there's no
lag anymore.

Update: installed latest update as of Nov 2, 2011 and updated fglrx to
8.90.5 (Catalyst 11.10). Windows still lag behind the on-screen cursor
and animations are choppy.

This bg also manifests when downloading a largish (2000 messages)
mailbox via Thunderbird. The progress bar in this case, at the bottom of
Thunderbird results in pinning of 2 cores, 1 by Thunderbird and 1 by
Compiz.
When Thunderbird was minimized the CPU load dropped off.

Just a note that the performance of glxspheres reflects how fast the
desktop 'feels'. I suspect that all compiz animations are being limited
to whatever fps glxspheres can manage.
