Public bug reported:
Using the intel card, glxspheres only manages around 2 frames per second
in precise, whereas in oneiric it runs at around 59-60 fps (ie the
monitor refresh frequency).
Using my nvidia card and bumblebee, glxspheres can only manage 70-75fps
in precise whereas in oneiric it

I have had three crashes that I suspect are inter-related.
I just filed bugs on banf and nautilus, and then re-booted and this crash
happened. In the earlier bugs also the window shaper was affected.
I hope the other bugs contain good information; if not, they can probably be

Public bug reported:
I've set up the top-left corner as a hot corner for the window expose
view (Super+w in unity) via ccsm. After a reboot, the hot corner isn't
hot anymore. Diasabling and reenabling the hot corner makes it work
again until the next reboot.

It may be possible. However compiz is not explicitly binding to AltGr at
all. It's just telling Xorg that it wants to bind to all keys called
Alt, and Xorg has decided that Alt includes AltGr too.

Ubuntu 12.04 however I think still has a pre-release version of compiz

Thanks kayandus, that valgrind output is intriguing.
It would appear the two leaks are the result of a blockage in compiz
event loop. I am guessing that after many hours, maybe your monitor has
gone to sleep. And that is causing PrivateGLScreen::waitForVideoSync to
hang inside either
A workaround to avoid this problem should be:
Run ccsm, and in the OpenGL section disable Sync To VBlank.
If you do this just before leaving your computer for the night (and
assuming my theory is right), then that should avoid the bug.

In fact, the number 1,500,000 makes sense. That's probably the number of

However, compiz won't try to render a new frame unless some part of the

Thanks. Please try the two workarounds I suggested:
1. Disable Sync To VBlank; or

You only need to do either before locking/leaving your PC for several
hours.
