Please test it if it has any additional side-effects. Thanks!

Hi, Nipas. Since Compiz is in such a large state of flux your issue may
have been resolved in later versions of compiz. An issue like this has
little chance of making it into older ubuntu versions, too. So it would

Fantastic! If the nearest SRU is next week, and it gets pushed

I am having this issue, and I am up-to-date with all upgrades in the
12.04 beta. I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop with i7 quad core
processor, AMD/fglrx video driver. Under unity 3d, when I lock the

I already have 12.04 installed with updates till this moment. The issue is not
as severe as it was in previous releases, but still exists.
This lack of smoothness regarding desktop effects , makes ubuntu feel a bit
heavy and that's the reason i'm reporting it.
Keep up the good work guys! ;)
Should i report a new bug concerning 12.04 release?

In theory this bug could easily be fixed by redrawing the menu title
part in the panel after the menu itself has rendered. At the moment, the
unity panel draws the title early so as to improve visual
