I can also confirm this. My laptop is a Compaq Presario CQ56 with an
Intel Celeron processor and onboard Intel graphics. I am using Ubuntu
12.04.1 alternate i386.
I have a workaround: Disable the 'place windows' plugin (just un-tick
the box). Located under 'Window Management'.

OK, it's probably bug 1064834. You might be able to work around it by
setting your panel opacity to 1.0
Even if the non-standard indicators are not changing visually, they may
contain bugs which trigger redraws too often.
To confirm all of this, please try:
1. Log out. And make sure no one else
I have to add that indicator-parayer-times doesn't refresh at all, it's
just a simple icon to access the applications menu.

This looks like what his branch is doing. When you try to set Show
Desktop plugin to active with his branch is gives you an option to Not
enable Show Desktop plugin or Disable Unityshell plugin. So this branch
seems to raise a conflict warning, which seems correct.

Here the requested screencasts.
The first one shows that the Show Desktop plug-in does not work as
expected if Unity runs and windows are faded out, although specified
otherwise.

I think what MC Return is trying to say is that unity overrides the
user-specified behaviour when either one of these plugins is loaded and
either it shouldn't, or unity should be marked as conflicting with those
two.

Hi, done it again as "su". It seems the outcome is the same.
I have updated the system with latests packages and remove the performance
indicator from the top bar. No it seems working better, although fan is at full
throtlle from time to time, and you can see compiz reaching 60%-70% of cpuload.

How to reproduce:
1. Install all Compiz plug-ins and CCSM via package-manager.
2. Open CCSM, enable "Show Desktop".
3. Press "Super+D" to activate it.
What you would expect:
Windows should move out of view to the corners of your screen
What actually happens:

I am afraid this is still not fixed for me, .xsession errors attached.
It appears to be recognising that it needs to use s/w rendering but is
failing.
