Screen edge actions set in CCSM
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1054049 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1054049
Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1054049, so is being marked as such.
That is because the bug is not only caused by the plugin load-order.
Changing the load-order is a workaround that sometimes works. The
problem is still in the unity-plugin.

vsync seems to be fully working now on SNB/IVB with 2.21 and kernel 3.8,
so the remaining issue is to get TearFree solid and performant for all
use cases.

oh dear..
since Bruno's ppa (only sane solution so far, thanks bruno), was once
again overwritten in January, I have been frustatedly waiting for
12.04.2..but since Colin's update it looks like it might be another 6
months...til 12.04.3
Does anyone know how to revert compiz to the version before
or maybe this is one (the only) reason to upgrade to 12.10 or even
13.04?

Will this bug be fixed in Ubuntu raring? There aren't antialiased

Valentin, nobody has stepped up to fix this, as it could be guessed by
the (non) activity in this report. You're free to, of course.

@Oliver, you can install Synaptic to use a GUI to downgrade compiz and
then run this commands (as root):
# echo compiz-core hold | dpkg --set-selections
# echo compiz-plugins hold | dpkg --set-selections
# echo compiz hold | dpkg --set-selections

I have now tested 3.5.0-22-generic for the whole evening and it has not
crashed so far. Thus I expect the kernel to be involved in this issue.

Another test you can try is with the 3.8 kernel is:
Option SwapbuffersWait false
which will disable pageflipping (as well as disabling vsync) altogether.
