bug #901097 fixed, issue still remain! i have the same tearing on video
playback on VLC or browser (flash or HTML5 video) either. Tried every
available Nvidia driver (304.48, 310.14 even 319.23) but there is no
effect on the problem. On the other hand Team Fortress 2 is working fine
with frames cap

I am not sure if my problem is related because I don't crash with
compiz/unity but the ALT-TAB and virtual desktop switching is buggy. The
ALT-TAB content appear slowly or the desktop switcher does not disapear
and I cannot click any application. Sometimes it hang for 5-8 seconds.

I can reproduce that on 13.04 64bit with compiz
1:0.9.9~daily13.04.18.1~13.04-0ubuntu1
This bug is present from the very beginning of Unity and have never been
properly fixed despite the various reports and hundreds affected users.
Ant it is, IT REALLY IS, a bit usability issue!

running x86_64 Ubuntu 13.10; compiz randomly restarts after compiz-
plugins-extra installation - none of them activated, just run "ccsm"
once and compiz started with its weird behavior. Resetting compiz did
not solve the problem.
