Card is AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series, I'm using proprietary AMD driver.

I'm running into this problem on Ubuntu 15.10 as well. I originally
didn't realize it was the *locked* session that caused difficulties. I
just noticed that when my kids logged on, after a half hour the system
would power down. This is because compiz at 100%+ CPU heated up the CPU
to 114C
Or rather, any hopes to get this libc bug mainlined for 15.10?
or an *actual* workaround (aside from only using KDE)?
