This is quite easy to reproduce, so marking as Triaged. In Natty forward
you just need to enable the Wobbly Windows plugin in CCSM. Pressing ESC
is supposed to return the window to the location from which you started
dragging it, whereas with the plugin enabled it just cancels the wobble

After installing the Oneiric Alpha3 candidate on my test netbook
(Samsung N310), upon rebooting and logging in to Unity Compiz crashes.
Attempting to submit the crash report claims that 'this is not a valid
Ubuntu package' which is why this report is a little bare.

Susan,
You can also move a window to a different workspace easily just by
holding Ctrl+Alt+Shift and then pressing an arrow key (right usually, if
you are on the first workspace). Hope that works for you in the meantime
while this bug is being fixed.
Thanks,

That's three separate reports of applications for which compiz fails to
update the title bar (note that it doesn't fail completely, there is
usually some operation that causes the title to update, usually
switching to another window/workspace does it)

Some more info on this one -
It seems the 'character limit' (though my feeling is the bug is based on
the window width rather than characters) is about 1000. With compiz the
behaviour is that the window closes and the area where the window would
have been becomes corrupted in some way (if you

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu
better. I think you need to provide two things to help people out with
creating this:
1.) A link to the file containing the demo which exhibits the problem - and if
applicable the commands to run that demo.
2.) A screenshot

that it's applied inconsistently. I can change it, but when going over

Since this is a usability issue that doesn't affect functionality
(minimized windows can still be accessed through Super+Tab), and compiz
is a core application it should be 'Medium' importance.

I see what you mean. You do need to use a very specific shade of black
for it to be a real problem, so I'd define this a bug of 'low'
importance.
The solution might be for compiz to pay some attention to what the
background colour is and adapt the highlight accordingly.
