Sadly I've disable the unity switcher and fall back to application
switcher also experiencing the same error. It is not only Unity switcher

Ok, so this turns out to be triggered by enabling texture compression in
CCSM. When I turn that on I can reproduce horrible, horrible failure on
display size change (With a HSW Iris Pro 5200).

I use the print key to minimise windows, so I go to system settings /
keyboard / shortcuts and tell the system to map print to minimise
window. It says that's already used by screenshot, I click reassign
Actually this was never really fixed properly, you quite often have to
move the pop-up slightly before you can activate any controls on a pop-
up. You get used to doing that after a while and it easier than getting
a bug fixed in compiz for anything that is not one of Canonicals pet

I'll add that berend's suggestion (#11) fits my case. To solve, I
inspected settings using gsettings and I found number-of-desktops set to

Re-opening. I checked this with the latest updates on Saucy and this
still affects me. Tested this on my T420 which this was originally
reported on. I also noticed that other screen capture tools do not work.
For example 'avconv -f x11grab -i :0.0 /tmp/out.mpg' only produces a
black screen in
