Same problem here, bug does indeed occur less often than before but it still happens. Running natty fully updated and with Ubuntu Classic Desktop. Also, I've noticed that at least in my case, the dead zone appears to mask the desktop, as middle-clicking it triggers the rotate desktop cube

I'm having the same issue here. But I noticed something else, if my mouse pointer is in the dead zone, and I click my middle button, it triggers the Inititate Rotate Cube effect from compiz (o presumably, any other compiz effect you have binded to that mouse event). It's like the dead zone is a
