OK, i broke it again - mmm then fixed it. So now i know how i rebroke it before. I was wanting the dodgy behavior back in unity so i used this dudes repo: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ikarosdev/unity-revamped (which makes dodgy work great) BUT it re-introduces the flashy / flicker bug in compiz
