I have this exact bugg on Kubuntu 20.4 LTS.
It's not the same as #160264 as (like other people here) I get a black
screen, not a white one.
No response from any Fn+Fx keys, only fix is a hard boot.

Hey Julian,
I did some investigation into this this week and have something which
may or may not fix your problem. At the moment, Amarok just sigabrt's
for me close to startup (it attempts to configure a window that doesn't
exist and does a whole bunch of other bad stuff).
Incidentally, it does q
@Julian: Just to get us started - can you run compiz --replace --debug
ccp &, reproduce the bug and then post the output somewhere. Also let us
know if it happens with more than just right-click or dropdown menus.

Actually, it appears as though the default is to use the gsettings
backend. So if it is complaining about a missing gconf backend then you
likely just need to remove any local configuration that would have made
it used that (now that it is removed by default).
