The Mac4Lin theme requires awn, which requires compositing. its install had an option to enable compositing in metacity. If I enable compositing in metacity, compiz shuts off, and I can't switch back to it, but I can run awn. If I disable compostiting in metacity, awn disappears, but I can switch
