I think the fact that it may not be portable is all the more reason it
should go in $XDG_CACHE_HOME/compiz unless some of the stuff should
rather go in $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR (I don't really know what the purpose of
the ~/.compiz files is).
Smart backup tools like Deja Dup already exclude those director
