Why not just disable edge stickiness? It's broken, and I can't see
who'd want to use in its current state anyway.

Johan, fair enough, but this bug is paper cut-sized and has someone
committed to fixing it, so at least we will tune the behavior a bit.
Fixing the behavior may not be considered a paper cut if it is at all an
involved task, but please pursue it.

I wouldn't say this is a duplicate of bug 160151. It's more like this
is a request for a workaround, and bug 160151 is a request for a fix.
I'd much rather have snapping fixed (bug 160151) than having the broken
implementation tuned (this bug).
