You have been subscribed to a public bug: I am getting a full X server crash and restart in combination with the kernel error below:
[drm:i915_gem_mmap_gtt_ioctl] *ERROR* Attempting to mmap a purgeable buffer and this error in the Xorg log: Fatal server error: Failed to submit batchbuffer: Invalid argument This occurs about once a day, and always when clicking on an entry in the bottom task bar; compiz is enabled. Note that this is a Natty kernel in combination with Lucid userspace. Update: I just triggered the same apparent symptoms doing a shift-+ in a gnome-terminal. ** Affects: linux Importance: Medium Status: Invalid ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel Importance: Medium Status: Won't Fix ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: Incomplete ** Tags: acpi acpi-method-return crash kj-triage lucid maverick -- [gm45] x server crashes with: [drm:i915_gem_mmap_gtt_ioctl] *ERROR* Attempting to mmap a purgeable buffer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/682712 You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
